I just read an article commemorating George Eastman's passing 80 years ago today. When visitng the George Eastman House recently, I noticed that the program from his memorial service was on display (near his laconic and poignant suicide note). Eastman's memorial service included music by Beethoven, Locatelli, Wagner, and Howard Hanson.
