Carnegie Hall Live: This 13-week series premieres on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. Highlights of the 2014-2015 live concerts from Carnegie Hall include a stunning concert by the Berlin Philharmonic conducted by Sir Simon Rattle, featuring soloist Anne Sophie Mutter in their first US performance together; a recital by Thomas Hampson presenting a world premiere of a work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Jennifer Higdon, the Philadelphia Orchestra with soloists presenting the bel canto era, and the National Youth Orchestra with violinist Gil Shaham and two young artists from the Greater Rochester area.

Sir Simon Rattle, opens Carnegie Hall’s 2014–2015 season in a thrilling concert featuring the Berlin Philharmonic and violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.

Carnegie Hall Live kicks off July with The Monteverdi Choir, and finishes the month with the National Youth Orchestra of the Unites States of America, which features two Rochester Musicians - violinist Helen Wong, and violist Martine Thomas.

"How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"  Tune into WXXI Classical 91.5 on Tuesday evenings at 8:00 p.m.  We start this month with an all-Beethoven program from the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and guest host Alan Gilbert, and we wrap up the month with Baroque music before Bach with Le Concert des Nations.
