State of the Union on WXXI-TV/HD and AM 1370
President Barack Obama is expected to talk about jobs and energy.
AM 1370 and WXXI-TV/HD will carry President Obama's State of the Union address live, beginning at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Janaury 24.
WXXI-TV/HD presents PBS NewHour coverage of the address. Gwen Ifill will anchor coverage of both President Obama's address and the Republican response delivered by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. With Gwen in the studio to provide commentary and analysis will be PBS NewsHour regulars David Brooks, columnist for The New York Times, and Ruth Marcus, columnist for The Washington Post.
AM 1370 presents NPR coverage of the address. Melissa Block will host and will bee joined in the studio by NPR National Political Correspondent Mara Liasson. Coverage will be augmented with reporting and reaction from NPR correspondents on Capitol Hill, as well as analysis of the speeches from NPR correspondents and outside contributors.
