Next month, (Nov. 6) the U.S. Supreme Court will hear a case out of Greece, NY regarding prayer during town board meetings. The case is an appeal of a lower court ruling that says Greece overlooked the Constitution’s ban on establishment of a religion by allowing predominantly Christian prayers to be offered before the meetings.

The appellate court noted that between 1999 and 2010, only four invocations had been offered by a prayer-giver who was not Christian.
