Arcade Fire in Concert on WRUR-FM 88.5 & WITH-FM 90.1

Thu, 10/31/2013 - 10:00pm - 11:00pm

Hear the band perform highlights from its new album, Reflektor.

Montreal-based band Arcade Fire performed a live concert, to highlight the release of their new album, “Relektor” on last Monday, recorded live from Capitol Studios in Los Angeles. WRUR-FM 88.5 (Rochester) and WITH-FM 90.5 (Ithaca) are pleased to present an encore broadcast of the concert on Thursday, October 31 at 10 p.m.

In addition to  performing highlights from its new album, “Reflektor,” the band will play fan favorites from previous Arcade Fire records. For the past couple of months members of Arcade Fire have been teasing fans with cryptic messages about the “Reflektor” album. The group posted mysterious signs around cities and online, gave surprise shows and posted teaser videos on the web. It was a huge, carefully orchestrated rollout plan that made “Reflektor” one of the most anticipated albums of the fall.  It was released October 29th, but last week,  Arcade Fire put the whole album up for fans to hear on YouTube.  It’s an epic, double record inspired by the band’s travels to Haiti where some members of the band heard traditional Haitian street and festival music for the first time.  Now you can hear the bulk of “Reflektor” performed live.

The concert is an exclusive broadcast for NPR music and Different Radio, WRUR and WITH.
