Weeknights at 7:00 p.m.

Bill McGlaughlin scales musical mountains during the first week of December.

Bill McGlaughlin scales musical mountains during the first week of December, takes us through Bach's Christmas Oratorio during the holiday week, and ends the year with Part I of a two-week biography of Brahms.  Explore with us, weeknights at 7:00 p.m.

Week of December 2 - Too Darn Big - This week we're ascending some of the most colossal musical mountains in existence- works like Schoenberg's Gurrelieder and Havergal Brian's Gothic Symphony that are (usually) too big to program on Exploring Music.

Week of December 9 – Hidden Gold, Part I - Get ready to discover your next favorite piece of music, as Bill McGlaughlin explores wonderful works that few people ever get to hear.

Week of December 16 – School Days - A celebration of young composers and performers.

Week of December 23 – Bach’s Christmas Oratorio - An exploration of the six cantatas, premiered at Leipzig’s St. Thomas and St. Nicholas Churches in 1734, that mark the period from Christmas to Epiphany.

Week of December 30 – Brahms, Part I - The first of a two-week biography exploring the music and life of the great German master, including his formative years as a pianist, meeting the Schumanns, the symphonies, his late works for clarinet, and more.
