The Classical Fellowship Awards are produced every four years by the American Pianists Association to select the Christel DeHaan Classical Fellow. The competition takes place in three parts including the Preliminary Round, Classical Première Series and Classical Discovery Week.

The 2012-13 ProLiance Energy Classical Fellowship Awards is a year-long competition where students vie for the top five positions in the finals. Five talented young musicians will compete for a prize valued at more than $100,000, one of the most lucrative awards available to an American pianist.  This radio series showcases the competition finalists, Sean Chen, Sara Daneshpour, Claire Huangci, Andrew Staupe and Eric Zuber who all participated in a plethora of public concerts, recitals, chamber concerts and commissioned premieres for the APA’s 2013 Classical Fellowship Awards.
